Noor-e-Saba is the atelier at full stretch: dabka, naqshi, betki, sequins, resham and pearls, laid by hand across the bodice and sleeves of a powder-pink anarkali until the surface reads as frost. Work of this order cannot be hurried, which is why the piece is made on order — it begins only when it is asked for.
Beneath the anarkali sits a banarsi lehnga skirt; over it all, a dupatta worked with mukesh chan and criss-cross tilla palu borders, its heavy scalloped edging carried around all four sides.
This season it pairs as easily with banarsi pants or a chooridaar for a slimmer line — a subtle powder pink that creates its aura without raising its voice.
Which occasions suit this piece? A bridal outfit at heart — baraat and walima days and the most formal wedding evenings; the powder pink photographs beautifully against traditional reds and golds.
What exactly is included? Three pieces: the hand-worked anarkali dress, the banarsi lehnga skirt and the scalloped-hem dupatta.
How long until it arrives? Nothing is sold ready-stitched. Where the cloth is already in stock, your piece is cut and stitched to your size and dispatched in 3 to 7 working days; formal and heavily hand-worked pieces take 4 to 8 weeks. This page states which applies.
Can it be made to my measurements? Yes — choose Custom Tailoring in the size row and Zara takes your measurements over WhatsApp in a few minutes.
