Noor-e-Saba is the atelier at full stretch: dabka, naqshi, betki, sequins, resham and pearls, laid by hand across the bodice and sleeves of a powder-pink anarkali until the surface reads as frost. Work of this order cannot be hurried, which is why the piece is made on order — it begins only when it is asked for.
Beneath the anarkali sits a banarsi lehnga skirt; over it all, a dupatta worked with mukesh chan and criss-cross tilla palu borders, its heavy scalloped edging carried around all four sides.
This season it pairs as easily with banarsi pants or a chooridaar for a slimmer line — a subtle powder pink that creates its aura without raising its voice.
