Majestic is the right word: the Mughlai farshi gharara is cut from hand-woven pure Satrangi banaras, stitched to that deliberately oversized, floor-sweeping flare, so every step moves a field of woven colour. At the neckline and sleeves the atelier lays in resham and zardozi florals, dense and delicate at once — the kind of handwork that anchors an heirloom.
A luxe traditional mukesh dupatta, bordered in heavy sequin work on all four sides, drapes over the ensemble, and the star of the show is the matching potli pouch. Yumna Zaidi wore Mughlai for the RJ's Pret campaign, photographed with the dupatta veiled softly over the head.
This is a made-to-order piece, brought to life for your date rather than pulled from a shelf — in its ivory-and-gold register it belongs at a nikkah, baraat or engagement, and photographs richly in low evening light.
