Lustrous Plum begins at the neckline — a deep border built by hand in resham, naqshi, gotta and dabka, with the same heavy work carried all the way around the daaman. Across the body falls a spray of wolf sequins, so the knee-length flare catches light in movement; embellishment of this density is slow atelier work, and it shows.
The gown is front-open and fully flared, finished in plum banaras with a banarsi inner, its sleeves worked in criss-cross tilla with a single motif. A pure banarsi chiffon dupatta in plum and magenta deepens the palette, and silk pants with an organza inlay carry a hand-worked motif at the side.
In its jewel register it belongs to festive evenings — Eid nights, formal dinners and celebrations where the light is low and the work can glow.
