A gold tissue jora lit by a bright chatta patti neckline — bands of rose, coral, turquoise and blush pieced in the old patchwork manner, then outlined by hand in dabka and naqshi bail. Against the quiet shimmer of the tissue, the colour sits like enamel on gold.
The plazo pants carry the heaviest work: the entire paincha is embroidered with French-knot threads, sequins and dabka, giving the hem real weight and movement. A four-colour gota-checked dupatta — magenta into orange into turquoise into pink — completes the ensemble.
